even when i'm sleeping...

Yayzorz. New skin. About time I say. Even though I said I would work on it over the holidays, it only took a total of a few hours to make. Although those few hours where spread over 2 days, with much doing nothing in between. I like it. When I was thinking about the new skin, I wanted practicality. With the other ones I made, they were all really small, dinky and delicate. With this one, it's big, bold and sharp. I can write a lot more now without feeling like I wrote too much. It gives me freedom. This also means I'll be writing a lot more crap that is ultimately useless, just so I can write enough so the posts don't seem overly short. In a way, it was inspired by The Subway's Rock and Roll Queen. I like that song, it tries to be hard rock but still has a gentleness in it.

Holidays are drawing to a drab end. Two weeks ago, I was fully of hope. Excited. Can you believe exactly two weeks ago I was standing on Bourke street arguing what we should have for lunch before we go off to futsal? It seems like yesterday. I haven't done a whole lot this holidays, but I'm ok with it. I've managed to use about $30 only so I'm pretty ok with it. Thrifty ^_^. Not looking forward to term 3.

It is going to be hectik. Going to be full of bio SACs. Not a whole lot of fun there. Full of tutoring twice a week. Not a whole lot of fun there. Full of soccer and cricket. Ok that's fun. While most guys are looking forward to the formal [like who?], my eyes are focused on the start of the cricket season. Sure, it may be a bit premature to start training but the Top End series is almost upon us and what's most interesting is that it's not watching the Australians destroy everyone. This year it's the A teams from Australia, Pakistan and probably someone else. It is going to be awesome. Hopefully Cosgrove, Jaques, Cullen and Birt can turn it on for all of us.

I was reading Nick's blog before and I did realise something. I realised how ready experienced [or unexperienced for that matter] bloggers are to explore the deepest and darkest caverns of their lives, and put it all on the internet. This unsettled me somewhat. But then I was calmed again by harsh reality. In these blogs, you're not revealing your secrets to millions world wide. You'd be lucky to be revealing to hundreds. Fact of the matter is that your blog is one of millions and millions. After this revelation, I feel safe again. Safe, yet not alarmed.

mmm foodstall...

I woke up at 5am this morning, having set my alarm for 1am. Funny thing, when I was sleeping, I was having this dream where I was doing something and I kept on being smsed. This got really annoying. When I woke up at 2am, it suddenly made sense. I ended up re-setting the alarm to 5am, just because I'm lazy.

So at 5am I watched the Portugal Netherlands match. Oh my gosh. Greatest second half of football ever. They say that a good ref is never mentioned but a bad one steals the headlines. This ref wrote his own headlines. More yellow cards than shots on goal. Fair effort, eh? So as I watched the match, I talked to Jono on MSN trying to figure out the day's work. My original plan was to go to Flinders at 8am to meet with all the foodstall guys. Only that would require me to start getting ready at 6.30, did not happen. So at 6.45 I just decided not to go and was more than willing to go back to sleep. But some convincing arguments from Jono.
me: i don't think i can go
jono: =[

Ended up setting a meeting with Jono at 10 at Spencer. I get there, call Jono and ask him where he is. He's still at his stop, like back in Broadie. So I buy the paper and wait for him.

When we did finally get to the pits building, we got there just in time to see the Year 11's first match. After much cursing the ref and a Jason Lu yellow card, MHS were victors 2-1. This result was pleasing considering their first match 4-1 victory.

Next match was so tense for the first 5 minutes. Up against Leylor North [a team of tanks], a draw would put us through but we still wanted a win. Turk ends up putting the first one in the net. Everyone still butt clenched. Turk cross and Denholm finish put the second one in and suddenly everyone relaxed. Ended up winning 3-1, gg it hard.

Then came the big one. We walked to MSAC from the pits, not realising how long the walk is. But when the game did start against the Victorian Foodstall Academy, we were all stunned. They scored in the first 20 seconds without a single MHS foot on the ball. Their passing, their running, their team work was out of our league. As soon as the ball was passed to them, not only did they know what they were going to do, but they knew what the guy they would pass to was going to do. Honestly, it was the most absorbing game of foodstall ever. The game ended in 4-1 against us, Denholm miraculously scored a goal, I suspect the keeper was blind sighted.

After the match [and realsing how people smell when they're sweaty], we went to Nike Melbourne first to watch Jase complain about the worstly done Culina shirt in the southern hemisphere, and then to Melbourne Central foodcourt. So coincidence, we bump into Phan, Ian and Nancy. People talk. Phan ditches them and joins us. Go to eat kfc, see random cool people. Everyone go home and happy.

fabulously lazy...

Jamie's was fun. Even though that was almost a week ago. Time passes by too quickly when you waste your holidays. I'd run through what happened at Jamie's but then I'd feel responsible when small children, after seeing this, ask their parents why boys carry sticks in their pants. Not that that has anything to do with what actually went on. In all fairness, Phan didn't realise Nancy was changing when he kicked down the door.

At the start of the holidays, I decided to go anti-social and loner the two weeks out. This was made easier by the fact that no one actually ever wants to do anything with me. So everyone's happy. The reason I'm lonering it out is because I feel my money stash is quickly dwindling, much like Jamie's porn stash. Oh wellz. In reality, I've still got about $120 left to spend, but then I'd truly be screwed when I got down to $0. Interesting, no?

The new design of the site is coming along great. You know. If you follow my definition of great. In my definition of great, Croatia being knocked out was 'great', the rise of Krispy Kreams is 'great' and of course, Jono is 'great'. Hmm... Interesting.

Organising soccer next week. Most likely Thursday. Doing my best to get people to come. Although I need the help of my trusty sidekick Isaac to help me do it. He has rep. points that people respect. I, on the otherhand, can only offer fast women and faster cars.

jamie's...

At Jamie's house right now. On his mum's laptop. Looking for porno stash. No luck yet, check back in a few hours.

Here's this awesome joke that I just came up with. I didn't really come up with it. It was a team effort. Jamie, Phan, Joe, Jin, Victor and the rest helped. Jono was here but he was just saying how good Rooney is.

It is just before Australia vs. Brazil at the World Cup group game.
Ronaldinho goes into the Brazilian changing room to find all his teammates looking a bit glum.
"What's up?" he asks.
"Well, we're having trouble getting motivated for this game. We know it's important but it's only Australia. They're rubbish, and we can't be bothered."
Ronaldinho looks at them and says: "Well, I reckon I can beat them by myself, you lads go down to the pub."
So Ronaldinho goes out to play Australia by himself and the rest of the Brazilians go off for a few beers.
After a few they wonder how the game is going, so they get the landlord to put the TV on.
A big cheer goes up as the screen reads: Brazil 1 Australia 0 (Ronaldinho 10').
A few more beers later and the game is forgotten until someone remembers: "It must be full time, let's see how he got on."
They put the TV on again: Result. Brazil 1 (Ronaldinho 10') Australia 1 (Viduka 89').
The Brazilians can't believe it, he has single-handedly got a draw against Australia!
They rush back to the stadium to congratulate Ronaldinho.
They find him in the dressing room, still in his gear, with his head in his hands.
He refuses to look at them. "I've let you down, I've let you down."
"Don't be daft, you got a draw against Australia, all by yourslef. And they scored at the very, very end!"
"No, no, I have, I've let you down. I got sent off after 12 minutes."
-----------------------------------------------------
Hilarious.

Oh my gosh, greatest game ever in Jamie's world cup tourney. First Victor scores, then Jin instant reply. In the 90th minute, Jin scored what seemed to be the winner. Only for Victor to reply within the second. With everyone anticipating the penalty shootout, Jin scores the winner. Fantabulous.

EDIT: Porno found, and deleted. And we continue our fight against underage porno. As one we unite. Rock on \m/.

the navy blues...

I haven't posted for a week and a half so I have about a million things to say. Although at the current time, I can't be stuffed.

I'm slowly adjusting my sleeping patterns again. Last night, I slept at 8, woke at 1.30 and watched football till 7am. I planned to go to sleep right after but various things came up and I didn't sleep till 10am. It's so much fun. I haven't had this much of a retarded sleeping pattern since last year during the Ashes, and oh my gosh that was the greatest.

So that's pretty much the pattern for this weekend and then the holidays. Sleep at day, football at night. I'm going to end up like a possum. I might even start climbing on people's roofs and scaring the shit out of small children.

Futsal next Friday, again. I don't feel like playing. I feel like going, just not playing. I would just go and watch, only problem is that apparently MHS team has no keeper. And seeing as I did such a stand up job last time, they want me. Stupid north/west siders. Take a trip to the east side for once in a while and feel safe. We ain't got no pedos here.

Except for that time I was on the train and I saw this middle aged man looking at the bunch of small African kids on the train and breathing really heavily...
